Drue DeAngelo PA-C

When I started my undergraduate education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, I had no idea what I wanted to do “when I grew up.” It wasn’t until my sophomore year that I discovered the Physician Assistant (PA) profession. I always knew that I wanted to go into healthcare as I had always had a passion for helping others. I eventually met a PA who opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of their profession. After one conversation, I knew that I wanted to become a PA. After I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology at UF, I became a patient care assistant (PCA) on a cardiac floor at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Yes, I am a die-hard Gator fan! This new role gave me invaluable experience with patients, some of whom were extremely sick. My experience in the hospital told me that I had chosen the right career path. UF Health Shands is an extraordinary teaching hospital, and I had a close working relationship with nurses, nurse practitioners, PAs, physicians, physical and occupational therapists, among others. Many of them became amazing mentors. I will always be eternally grateful for all they were able to teach me along the way. With just under two years of hospital experience, I started applying to PA schools and landed a seat at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I completed my Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in the Fall of 2022.

I had wonderful experiences on all my clinical rotations while in school, but the one that really stuck out for me was in primary and preventive care. With my parents and little brother living in the South Florida area, I decided to stick around and look for a job in an Internal Medicine practice. My search led me to Hybrid Medical Solution, and from the first time I stepped into the office, I knew it was going to be a great fit. I am excited to expand my knowledge and learn more about hormone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, weight management, and the other aspects of integrative medicine that Dr. Moraes, Deanna & Lizzy have been able to incorporate into their practice model. I have a passion for medicine, and I will continue to learn and grow for the benefit of all my current and future patients to come.

I live locally with my cat Zoey and enjoy going to the beach as often as I can. In my free time, I am an avid traveler. Some destinations that remain on my bucket list include Italy, Greece, Spain, Australia, and France. Please feel free to give me all of your traveling recommendations, as I am always looking for my next adventure!
